Youth Art Classes: “Sun and Horizon”

10:00am-12:00pm, 6 - 10 year olds

12:30-2:30pm, 11 – 16 year olds

$8 Member, $10 Non-member

Instructor: Diane O’Hern, Limit: 12 Students in each section

Paint a Sunbeam! Let’s look for line in our environment. Divide your surface into thirds and paint a mirrored landscape. Use your imagination to make your Horizon beautiful with your favorite hues and reflections. Create a 3-dimensional clay sculpture with animals and people as your subject. The afternoon students will take it to the next level with a variety of brush strokes and detailed sculptures. All students will view the works of Famous Iowa Artist, Grant Wood, and discuss the Horizon in his landscape paintings.
