Virtual Blanden Art Festival Art Kit

Due to COVID19, the Blanden Event Committee has decided to host a Virtual Art Festival for 2021.

As part of the Virtual Festival the Blanden will have Iowa street chalk artist Kathleen Roling creating a unique drawing at the museum. The creation of the drawing will be lived streamed throughout the day on www.blanden.org, use the QR code to link to the steamed video page. You are welcomed to visit the museum and see the artist working in person.

The Blanden welcomes visitors to stop by the museum on June 12, 2021

Starting May 18 through June 10, registered online and stop in and pick up a virtual art activity kit. Kits are designed for ages 4-12. The museum will be handing out 240 kits in place of the normal art activities that would take place at the Blanden At festival.

Each kit will include:

· A small wind chime that can be designed and decorated.

· A watercolor paint set with brush

· A marker set

· Color Pencils

· A drawing pad

The Blanden will provide short videos links at www.blanden.org, that will provide guidance for young artists to explore their creative side.
