Spend time in the great outdoors and study the natural surroundings at Kennedy Park. Tips for working plein air will be discussed, as well as, compositional considerations and pastel techniques. We’ll start with a quick demonstration and have plenty of time to work. Bring a light lunch and we’ll take a break before we wrap things up with a group discussion.Â
Everyone will meet at Kennedy Park in the first parking lot off to the right before the boat ramp. Participants may bring their own supplies or may use pastels and paper provided by the Blanden. Participants should bring a traveling easel (if one is not available, let us know – instructor and Blanden have several that can be used), drawing board (foam core is light weight and works well), wet wipes or rags, and comfort items like a chair, sunscreen, bug spray, hat or umbrella for shade.Â
