Due to closing to the public, the museum is exploring alternative ways to connect with the community. The digital arena has become a way for museums to provide educational services to members, students and art enthusiasts.

This exhibit is an attempt to provide a space where creative voices can be seen and shared. The present state of the world seems overwhelming and chaotic, but out of these times, great love and beauty can still be expressed. Art is essential, especially during times that are full of stress and anxiety. Artwork can be medicine for the mind and soul.

Artists have been able to look at situations such as the recent one we all are experiencing, and create profound work that speaks to a collective event, memory, and new reality. Artist’s ability to find inspiration in world events and explore new ways of communicating information can help us all.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists 18 years of age and older. Works must be current. Digital images of original works of art only.

ONLINE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
     In the subject line of email, please include: “Art as Treatment” Your Name
     Submit up to three images via email to: eanderson@fortdodgeiowa.org 
     Image format & size: High-quality jpeg, 72dpi, image size about 1900px in any longer direction, file size between 500kb and          2MB. Artwork and digital phot images must not include any borders or frames unless they are part of the original artwork.
     Please Name your files accordingly: (Last Name)_(Title).jpg
     Please do not send zip files
 

ARTIST'S CONSENT:
By submitting your work to this exhibition, all artists agree to allow reproductions of their digital files and/or photographs taken of their art for any educational,
marketing, archival, publicity and public relations purposes by Blanden Art Museum.
